What materials are available for the glass clamps?
Choosing the material for your glass clamps is especially important. I have to adapt the material to the conditions on site. Therefore, there are other glass clamps that are suitable for different locations and situations.
Zamak
Zamak glass clips are cast from zinc in a mold. Zamak is a very inexpensive material that works best in buildings. Since zamak is not rust-resistant, it is not suitable for situations and locations where it is exposed to the elements. Even if zamak is not weatherproof, it is still durable and reliable when used correctly.
Stainless steel
If you would like to have glass clamps made of stainless steel, you have two options in our shop. You can choose between V2A stainless steel glass clamps and V4A stainless steel glass clamps.
V2A stainless steel is the everyday rust-free stainless steel that you see very often. The stainless steel is very suitable if you need glass clamps that can withstand the weather and are very robust. Therefore, V2A stainless steel is very popular as a material for glass clips, as it is an all-rounder.
V4A stainless steel is available for special areas of application. V4A stainless steel consists of an adapted alloy that is even more resistant. This extreme resilience is needed in some situations. For example, V4A stainless steel can withstand corrosion from salt water and many chemicals. Therefore, glass clamps made of V4A stainless steel are urgently needed in some situations.
