Sven Kurzinski has been a sales consultant at G-Fittings for 9 years. In the interview he reveals what a typical office day looks like and why he has been playing table tennis for 20 years.
How did you get into G-Fittings?
The company G-Fittings had been looking for a new sales consultant on the Internet over 9 years ago and this interested me very much because I wanted to develop myself personally and wanted to work more with customers.
What exactly are you doing at G-Fittings?
I am a sales consultant for Germany and a few neighboring countries such as Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, France and Italy. I advise customers on individual room design, be it a glass partition wall with door frames, all-glass doors, sliding glass doors, all-glass showers, pipe plug-in systems in interior construction or, currently, also hygienic barriers.
What is your day-to-day work like?
First thing in the morning, my e-mails are processed so that orders can leave our house by noon. In between, I receive phone calls in which customers have technical questions, inquiries or even place direct orders to us. Then I take care of customer inquiries so that our customers receive an offer from us at short notice. In the case of special inquiries, I am happy to advise our technicians in order to offer our customers the perfect solution. Of course, customer acquisition shouldn't be missing, where I convince new customers of our products. Of course, I also keep an eye on the numbers on a regular basis so that I know where we as a company still have room for improvement. It also happens that I drive to customers in order to maintain personal contact or to win new customers. Every year we are also at trade fairs such as Glasstec in Düsseldorf or BAU in Munich. This is a great opportunity to find out about new products and to maintain personal customer contact. But the best thing is that no two days are the same and there are always new challenges.
Early or late riser?
I tend to get up late, so my short commute by bike is very convenient for me.
What is your favorite G-Fittings product and why?
I'm a big fan of the glass partitions with door frames, because you can always create individual rooms here. Every project is different and there are always new challenges.
What do you particularly like about G-Fittings?
I like that we are a young, dynamic team and that everyone has a say in ensuring that the company moves forward. I also like that I can use my own ideas in my work and that I have my personal freedom to do my job successfully. Of course, the external activities with colleagues are always a highlight and always promote team spirit and togetherness.
What you do in your free time?
I have been playing table tennis in Rees for over 20 years. It's a great way to balance out work and meet friends. I am also happy to relax in the garden.
Beach vacation or city break?
Preferably to town in the morning and to the beach in the afternoon. The main thing is relaxation and little stress on vacation.
What qualities do you need for a job in your area?
Independent work and thinking are basic requirements, you should also have an affinity for the technical and be interested in new things. You should also be open to people and happy to be helpful in solving customer challenges.
