Glass Clamping Profiles for Partition Walls & Freestanding Glass Systems

When glass installations demand the highest structural requirements, the glass clamping profile is the mounting system of choice. G-Fittings provides metalworkers and architects with heavy-duty clamping profiles for floor, wall, and ceiling installations. Unlike simple U-profiles, where the glass is usually wet-sealed, our systems fix the glass mechanically using dry glazing (wedge gaskets). This not only guarantees maximum holding power for freestanding partition walls but also enables extremely fast installation and uncomplicated glass replacement.

Technical Solutions for B2B: From 12mm Glass to Outdoor Installation

Our systems are designed to securely and elegantly solve the most common challenges on the construction site – such as strong wind loads or heavy glass weights.

Outdoor Glass Clamping Profile: Secure Hold against Wind Loads

When constructing windbreaks, balcony partitions, or terrace dividers, enormous static forces (wind loads) must be absorbed. A classic outdoor glass clamping profile from G-Fittings is made of weather-resistant, anodized aluminum or stainless steel. The firm mechanical compression via the rubber gasket reliably prevents the glass panels from slipping, even in stormy weather.

Clamping Profile for 12mm Glass: For Heavy Partition Systems

Floor-to-ceiling office partitions or fall-protection glazing require thicker glass. Our range is designed for this: A clamping profile for 12mm glass (or even more if required, e.g., for multi-layer LSG) offers the necessary profile depth and gasket strength to safely support massive pane weights without the need to drill holes in the glass.

Frequently Asked Questions about Glass Clamping Profiles (FAQ)

For which glass thicknesses are the glass clamping profiles suitable?

Our glass clamping profiles are highly flexible and, depending on the wedge gasket selected, designed for toughened safety glass (TSG) and laminated safety glass (LSG). The standard range covers glass thicknesses from 8 mm to 12 mm, making them ideal for heavy partition systems.

Is a glass clamping profile also suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, we offer special glass clamping profiles for outdoor use. These are made of anodized aluminum or corrosion-resistant stainless steel and can easily withstand higher wind loads in freestanding installations thanks to their strong mechanical clamping.

Does the glass need to be drilled for installation in a clamping profile?

No. A major advantage of glass clamping profiles is the so-called dry glazing. The glass is simply placed into the floor or wall profile and then massively compressed using insert and wedge gaskets. Drilling the glass is not required.
